Sherri Daniels is the co- founder and Chief Executive Officer of SlateStone Wealth where she oversees the day-to-day management of the firm. Her responsibilities extend across the organization including Operations & People, Investment Management, Wealth Advisory and Client Engagement, and Strategic Initiatives. Sherri has extensive leadership experience in highly successful financial services firms and brings over 30 years of executive and operational expertise to the organization.
Prior to SlateStone Wealth, Sherri was Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Boston Private Wealth Management which acquired Banyan Partners LLC in 2014 and combined to form a $9 billion wealth management entity with nationwide reach. At Banyan Partners, she was Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President and Principal responsible for strategic planning, client development and marketing along with overseeing day-to-day business activities including overall operations, and compliance from 2011 through 2014. Through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions, Banyan Partners grew to over $4.5 billion over a five-year period until its acquisition by Boston Private Financial Holdings. Sherri skills helped drive significant asset growth and built a national brand for Banyan unique in the independent advisory space.
Prior to Banyan, Sherri was the former president of Weiss Capital Management, a Florida-based adviser acquired by Banyan in January 2011. While at Weiss, from 1990 – 2011, Sherri simultaneously served as president of three separate investment services firms – an independent registered investment adviser, a broker-dealer, and an investment company with direct oversight of clients, employees and strategic business initiatives.
